


Saga-ken is located in the northwestern part of Kyushu.
The shoreline of the Higashi-Matsu-ura-hanto Peninsula facing
the Genkai-Nada is a saw-toothed coast with many outlying islets
sitting in the offing.
In this region are many natural rich places to visit, such as
Nijino-Matsubara and Nanatu-gama.
The western part of the Saga-ken is a region famous for producing
ceramics and porcelain, particularly the towns of Arita and Karatsu.
Karatsu is also the town, which prospered as a Castle town of
Nabeshima lord.
More destination, Yoshinogari-iseki is the name of a large and
complex Yoshinogari archaeological site used between the 3rd
century BC and the 3rd century AD.
